Dr. Esther Duschinsky
Growing up, Dr. Esther traveled extensively to different countries with her family because of her father's work. During this time her guinea pig "Lisa" and her dog "Lucky" traveled to Paris, Chicago and Egypt with her family. Dr. Esther's love of animals started at a young age and "Lisa" and "Lucky" were both longed for birthday presents. As she grew up, her love of animals grew and she realized that she wanted to work with animals and that she enjoyed science and wanted to become a veterinarian.
It took many years to become a vet, first Dr. Esther went to McGill University and completed a 4 year Bachelor of Science degree, then she went to Veterinary School at the University of Guelph finally graduating as a veterinarian in 1998.
Dr. Esther really enjoys helping people care for their cats, every cat she meets has a different personality! Dr. Esther takes an interest in veterinary surgery and care of sick cats. She enjoys solving medical mysteries since cats can't tell you what is wrong when they aren't feeling well!
Esther lives in Cambridge with her two sons Louis and Henry, as well as her beloved cat "Juice". In her spare time, Dr. Esther enjoys hiking on all the Cambridge trails and cooking.
Dr. Ivan Zivcic - Dr. Ivan is currently away on sabbatical
Dr. Ivan with "Skippy"
While Dr. Ivan was growing up in the Niagara Region, rather than grapes and berries, it was dairy and pig farms - along with their crazy barn cats - that really caught his eye. Always having a keen interest in medicine, it was our domestic animals that he decided he wanted to work with.
Dr. Zivcic graduated from McMaster University in Hamilton, then completed his veterinary degree in the United States in 1992. After working as a veterinary associate in mixed animal practice (dogs, cats, horses, pigs, cows - a mixture!) in New York State for two years, Dr.Ivan became a veterinary clinic owner in Woodstock, Ontario in 1994. Being involved with an exclusively feline clinic has been an opportunity for Dr. Ivan to focus on one main area of interest.
At home, Ivan is happily married to Ronnie Jean, a beautiful, hardworking nurse and mother. Together they are raising their two active sons Nick and Andy who are always going to soccer, football, swimming, music lessons - you know the routine. As you may have guessed, the household includes "Mr. Beard" the bearded dragon, "Batman" and "Pinchderk" the hermit crabs, "Goofy" and "Pebble" the doves, "Zuta" the Belgian Shepherd and the orange tabby in charge of the whole mess "Eddie Carlo".
P.S. The family is on the lookout for a Siamese kitten!
